 BSA Cross Disciplinary

Hi!

Today we had a guest speaker come in to disscuss Maori culture. He started off by debunking common myths about Maori culture, and then disscussed some of our ideas for our event. His opinions on art were really interesting and he basically said that as long as you educate yourself, and have good intentions, then you should do whatever you want and be as creative as you can, as there will always be people offended by what you do. I think this idea was very freeing but I think that even with good intentions, if you do not educate yourself, and speak over those of the actual culture, you can be harmful to the community. 

We then got into groups and brainstormed some more ideas which the teams all combined at the end.
