Marketing.
Promotion and public relations are crucial to an event. You need to bring in people to have an event.
Ensure that people are going to attend.
People have limited time and money so make sure the event is worth it and prove it to the people so they come to the event.
Target Market. Figure out how to influence them to attend based on who they are. You also need to market to volunteers and sponsors too.
Expertiential Marketing. Make a memorable moment to get people to go to the event. Create connections to the audience.
Encouraging fun and participation will help people remember the event.
What marketing do I remember?

I wrote about the League of Legends ads.
You can also use psychographics when appealing to a target market, e.g their personality, interests, and beliefs.Look at what is motivating that audience to go, e.g cheap, looked fun, one time thing, friends are going, etc.
Make sure you have a target audience picked. Choose locations where your target audience will look. Create public relations. Research the most cost effective route.
Invite certain people to get people to go for the status.
The three main functions is to inform, persuade, and sell.
Survey for data on how the event went.
Design
Think about exsisting event names and logos.
We then had to post event logos. I added the Dunedin Young Writers Festival and the Dunedin Art Show.
