BSA Year 2

 BSA VFX Hi! Week 2 We started planning for our film. I teamed up with Erin for a DnD inspired short film with animated effects. Wrote outline and thumbnailed camera angles, target audience and genre (Add Thumbs) Preliminary Research https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=esvz_kXo0U0 IRIS animated short film by Jasper T Space Jam Lebron becomes animated scene Fateful Equation by Drew Adams The Boys- Black Noir has cartoon friends Critical Role Campaign 3 animated opening. Week 3 We went over some pipeline stuff. We then played around in after effects again. ctl d to duplicate, shift to snap to other layers. groups are referred to as pre-compositions as they are treated the same all together. When making a pre-comp tick on to adjust duration or it will go the full length of the comp.  Use a mask to create a moving effect over top for reveal. create a solid layer of colour (Layer window- new- solid) with opacity keyframes to create flashes.  n to end the timeline when looping.  BSA 3D Hi! I started working on texturing and colouring my model. I started by putting on some placeholder colours first. I then started playing around in Adobe Substance 3D Painter. I didn't get very far but I did experiment with the textures. I then started on modeling the background room. 

 BSA Cross Disciplinary Hi! Last week we started planning ideas for our 'day out event'. Today we talked about conflict managment. We wanted to work on communication skills and how to improve in the future when problems arise. Effective Communication by Stu Katzen. Make sure people know what they are doing and why. Meet people face to face so that they can picture you when they email or call. Do your best and fix what you can. How you treat people will last a long time. Your tone and body language matters. Even if things are going wrong, just do what you can and accept it. Don't escelate.  We then looked at some techniques for managing conflict. TED Talk  Stop Managing, Start Leading - Hamza Khan Conflict Scenario Group Roleplay At least 3 scenarios planned. Actors, mediator, and narrator. Keep it relevant to course. We then performed them the next class. 

BSA  Research Hi! Week 1 we went over the assignment and started thinking about research questions. Week 2 class 1- I started refining my question. Started doing some preliminary reading and thinking about my practice works.
